Privacy Policy
Your walk stays yours
Armor of God Brand, LLC ("we," "us") runs the Armor of God app. This policy explains what information is handled when you visit, purchase, unlock, or use it. The short version: your prayers, journal entries, study answers, progress, and saved verses live on your own device, not on our servers.
What stays on your device
The app has no Armor of God account and no cloud sync. Everything you write inside it, including prayer-list entries, journal entries, study answers, saved verses, and progress, is stored locally in your browser using local storage. We never see it, receive it, or back it up. It does not automatically follow you to a new device or a different browser.
Backups and changing devices
Use Export backup in the app's Settings before changing devices, switching browsers, or clearing browser data. The downloaded JSON file contains your app information and license key. Keep it somewhere private. To restore it, choose Import backup. Importing replaces the app information currently stored in that browser and activates that browser as one of the three devices included with your personal license.
License and device information
Your purchase includes a personal license for up to three active devices or browsers. The app creates a random device identifier and sends that identifier, your license key, and license-validation requests to Polar. This prevents one key from being used without limit. It is not a device fingerprint, and we do not send Polar your prayers, journal entries, saved verses, study answers, or other private app content.
The app checks the license periodically when you are online. After the first online unlock, app files you have opened may be stored in a protected offline cache on that device so they can continue working without a connection. The app clears that protected cache when you erase everything or when the license is rejected while online. You can remove an old activation through the customer portal link in your Polar receipt. Erasing all app information attempts to release that browser's activation. If the browser is offline, you may need to remove it through Polar instead.
Hosting and security information
Cloudflare hosts the website, license gateway, and protected app files. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may process normal connection information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested URL, request time, and security or error data. We use this information to deliver the app, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and protect access. We do not intentionally place your private devotional content in those requests. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Deleting app information
You can delete individual prayer requests, journal entries, and reflections inside the app. To remove all app information stored in that browser, open Settings and choose Erase everything and start fresh. This cannot be undone unless you exported a backup first. Clearing the browser's site data can also remove the locally stored information.
Deleting local app information does not remove records held separately for purchases, customer support, email delivery, or a review you submitted through our Google Form. Contact us using the address below if you want to request deletion of information we hold outside the app.
What we do collect
- Purchase and license information. When you buy or activate the app, our merchant of record, Polar, processes your email, payment details, license key, random device identifier, activation record, and license-validation history. We receive order and license records so we can provide access, prevent misuse, handle refunds, and support you. See Polar's privacy policy.
- Optional buyer email information. If you explicitly opt in at checkout, Resend processes your email address, consent record, delivery status, opens, clicks, unsubscribes, and related message activity for the buyer guidance and product-update emails you requested. The checkbox is optional. Buying the app does not require marketing consent. See Resend's privacy policy.
- Email you send us. If you email support, we keep that message to help you.
- Review form answers. If you choose to submit our buyer-review Google Form, Google processes the answers and we receive them in the form and its linked Google Sheet. The current form asks for a first name only when you give permission for us to quote your answers. Do not include prayers, journal entries, passwords, license keys, or other private app content. See Google's privacy policy.
- Limited site measurement. We may use Cloudflare's privacy-focused web measurement to understand page visits, referrers, device categories, and general performance. We do not use it to read private app content or build advertising profiles.
- Font requests. Some public and legal pages request fonts from Google. Google may receive normal connection information, including your IP address and browser details, when those fonts load.
How we use information
- Provide purchases, license access, backups you control, and customer support.
- Protect the app, enforce the device allowance, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
- Send requested buyer guidance and updates, and honor unsubscribes.
- Understand general site performance and improve the product.
- Meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and other legal obligations.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your information.
- Share your information for cross-site targeted advertising.
- Use your private devotional content to train artificial-intelligence systems.
- Read or upload anything you write inside the app.
Email from us
Polar may send transaction and license messages needed to complete your purchase. If you separately opt in, we may send buyer guidance and product updates through Resend. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future marketing messages but does not prevent essential purchase, refund, security, or support messages.
How long we keep information
Your private app content stays on your device until you delete it or clear the browser. We keep purchase, refund, license, fraud-prevention, and tax records only as long as reasonably needed for access, support, accounting, legal compliance, and disputes. We keep support messages and review answers only as long as needed for those purposes or until an applicable deletion request is completed. After an unsubscribe, we may retain the minimum suppression record needed to make sure we do not send marketing email again. Service providers may keep records under their own legal and retention requirements.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information we hold, and to object to or limit certain uses. You may also unsubscribe from marketing at any time. Email support@armorofgodbrand.co and include enough detail for us to identify the record and reasonably verify the request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Some records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, legal claims, or another lawful exception. Since private app content does not automatically leave your device, you control it directly by editing or clearing it in the app.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including private paid-content storage, encrypted license sessions, limited data collection, and access controls. No website, browser, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your license key and exported backup private, and contact us if you believe either has been exposed.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their privacy policies describe their transfer and protection practices. By using the app from another country, you understand that the information described in this policy may be processed outside your home country, subject to applicable law.
Children
The app is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the new date at the top. Material changes apply going forward, and we will provide additional notice when applicable law requires it.
